Based in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, Einas Al-Ashgar is the Chief Operating Officer of Saudi Aramco’s subsidiary company, Saudi Aramco Entrepreneurship Center Co Ltd., also known as Wa’ed. In this role, she supports entrepreneurship and the economic development of Saudi Arabia through funding and developing entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises seeking to startup or expand their business.  With a portfolio of over 100 companies, serving diverse sectors in the Kingdom, she is passionate about promoting impactful businesses.

 

Einas’ contributions to Saudi Aramco extend over 19 years, both in-Kingdom and internationally ranging from Upstream IT business, Software Development, Corporate Finance, Performance Management, Socio-Economic Development, and Project Management. She has contributed to project management work in upgrading one of the largest offshore oil fields in the world, and has developed financial studies to support corporate management business and corporate performance advisory initiatives.

 

Past work experience also includes the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) in New York, where she spent two years overseeing the funding and performance of over 138 country offices and regional bureaus, focusing on the eradication of poverty and the reduction of inequalities and exclusion.

 

Al-Ashgar holds a BSc in Computer Science from Arizona State University, an MSc in eCommerce Engineering from University of London, and an MBA from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
