Dr. Yazan Hijazi has spent over 20 years working across sectors in the role of scientist, professor, executive director, entrepreneur and consultant across industries from academia and design to financial services. And played leading roles in several technology start-ups.

Dr. Yazan Hijazi is an IE Adjunct Professor teaches in the Executive Masters in Positive Leadership and also teaches in other programs at the IE Human Sciences & Technology School such as the Master in Talent Development & Human Resources.

He holds a PhD in Electrical Engineering, with extensive experience leading multi-million-dollar projects resulting in propriety technologies for the US Air Force, Seagate Technologies, and the US Nuclear Safety Agency. During the “science phase” of his career he developed two propriety technologies for which he published numerous peer-reviewed publications in renowned scientific journals. He was involved in projects with over $12 Million in sponsored funding, and directly secured and managed a $1.2 Million grant from the DoE as principal investigator at the University of Turabo, Puerto Rico. Over 4 years he built scientific research infrastructure and capacity building programs enabling the university to engage in cutting edge R&D. Due to his contribution in innovation driven R&D, he was granted US citizenship through the EB1 Category – Alien with Extraordinary Capabilities.

Dr. Hijazi is a certified practitioner of NLP and design thinking. Having worked as an executive for a financial services company in Dubai (DIFC), he he has a well-rounded experience in investment cycles, portfolio and deal flow management, and is a certified Anti Money Laundry officer.

Dr. Hijazi is a big picture thinker who is passionate about music, creativity & conscious evolution. He lived in five countries and speaks Arabic, English, Spanish and Italian fluently.
