ENGIE Middle East, South & Central Asia and Turkey (MESCAT) is a regional market leader in low-carbon energy solutions. The BU produces ca. 32 GW of gas-fired power and has close to 1 GW of solar power in operation and under construction or development. In the Gulf region, it is also a leading producer of desalinated water, with a capacity of ca. 5.5 million m3 per day.
ENGIE MESCAT is the region’s foremost provider of facility management services, particularly in the UAE and Qatar (through Cofely-Besix Facility Management) and offers operations and maintenance services, in power and water, as well as gas.
In Turkey, ENGIE also has 370,000 customers in gas distribution via IZGAZ, provides 145,000 m3 floating gas storage and regasification capacity and is active in energy retail, trading and origination. In the light of the region’s need to adopt strategies to diversify the energy mix and improve energy efficiency, ENGIE MESCAT will continue to develop and operate utility scale low-carbon energies and will grow its regional position in integrated solutions for customers.
