Emre Karter of Citi

Emre Karter is responsible for Citi’s Treasury and Trade Solution businesses in the Middle East, North Africa, Pakistan and Turkey, and is based out of Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In this role, Emre is responsible for driving Citi’s market-leading TTS business.

Emre has over 20 years of experience in Banking covering areas including Relationship Management, Credit & Risk, Product, and Business Management. Prior to his current role, he was the TTS Russia, Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) Cluster Head.

Emre’s previous experience includes; managing the transaction service business for Turkey + Central Asia and Transcaucasia and TTS Sales & Coverage where he led origination and execution activities with TTS products and the full spectrum of banking requirements for subsidiaries of Citi’s Global Relationship Bank (GRB) clients in Turkey.

Emre joined Citi in Turkey in 1996 and held various positions in Corporate Bank as a Relationship Banker while spending a year in Brussels coordinating the GRB franchise across CEEMEA. Emre is also a Senior Business Risk Officer.

Before joining Citi, Emre worked at Coca-Cola in Turkey and Prudential Securities in the United States.

Emre holds a B.Sc. in Management from Bilkent University and a M.Sc. in International Business and Finance from New Hampshire College.
