Investment into smart technology, particularly energy efficient solutions to industrial problems, have become a top priority in bringing forth the prospects of Vision 2030 in the KSA. With a view to bringing more to the kingdom, whilst making changes to ensure better prospects to existing industries, identifying the right technology on which to capitalise is a primary focus.
Earlier this year, GE became one of the first to take full advantage of the climate, introducing their own IoT system into the nation’s vast industrial network. The industry still accounts for the vast majority of sovereign wealth, and this past year has seen the highest global exports on record. Identifying IoT was inevitable, and has subsequently yielded impressive returns, not just for the oil industry, but as a platform to grow the countries wider use of smart technologies.
This kind of partnership is attracting European firms, such as the energy efficient smart tech conglomerate EUROSTAR Group. The Italian firm has commented on the thirst for progress, and is eager to assist in helping the Kingdom compete within the global marketplace for technology ventures. By placing heavy emphasis not only on industrial solutions, but ventures into smart cities, healthcare and beyond.
It’s easy to see where the interest is coming from, as other European investors currently thriving. French IoT provider Sigfox have just received a $160 million investment from the Tamer Group, a Saudi investor consortium, with a view to expanding existing projects, and a move into GCC territories6. The field is growing at an incredible pace, and the time to join in has never been more clear.
However, identifying a venture and an appropriate investor is no simple task. While the region is perfect for European technology, creating a relationship with the right investor is something that takes trust, knowledge, and drive. Luckily, Naseba has exactly what it takes.
On February 21st-22nd 2017 Naseba will be conducting a two-day technology investor meeting, taking place in both Dubai, UAE, and Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, introducing pre-screened investors to pre-qualified investment opportunities from around the world. Committed to assisting in the identification of both regional and national investors, Naseba is ready to create your perfect investment platform.
